I am not a pro nor a low handicaper. U can notice this from my tools. I upgraded my iron from game improving TM R7 XD to the captioned. I am benefited by the great soft feeling of hitting the sweet spot that I know how my ball goes without watching the ball flight. U can feel the ball stay a bit longer on the cut face. They are good at mid rough too. Out of my expectation, these clubs drive the ball quite a distance. It is relatively forgiving even u miss the sweet spot. One tiny room for improvement is that the weight of the club head could be a bit heavier to promote a more solid feeling when u smash the ball and easier to feel the club head during the swing. I guess the extra weight would also help u a lot when u miss the sweet spot. For me, with handicap over 20, I still suggest someone who like me to use these "player" forged iron coz the great feel of hitting the sweet spot overwhelm the pain from mis-hit. Moreover, they really help to improve you accuracy in ball striking. What a trust worthly and fun tool to improve your game.
