I bought one of these clubs to replace my 4 iron which I was having trouble hitting straight ,I now own all six clubs in the range and my ball striking is very much better I now play at the flag instead of pussying around with badly struck irons, they give confidence ,and look fantastic I paid 80 brittish pounds per club a bargain from neveda bobs in the UK,if you are not getting through the ball with your irons try one of these fantastic clubs I have ripped strokes of my score and long par 3s are easy now great ball flight great confidence giving clubs.........

Wilson - Yes, Wilson - High Quality Hybrid |

How many of you out there see the name "Wilson" in golf equipment catalogs and immediately move on to the other, "big name" equipment makers - who you consider to be more serious (and more expensive) about quality golf equipment? Until recently, that would have been me, too. However, I have to let you in on a little secret, now. With their "Fybrid" series of clubs, Wilson is very much back in the golf equipment business. Specifically, the 19.5 degree "Fybrid" (equal parts fairway wood and hybrid) is now one of the most trustworthy clubs in my bag.
What do I like about the club? First, let me begin with the fact that the club looks great. The shaft is a 68 gram UST V2 hybrid shaft that fits my swing profile perfectly.
The club head is that perfect blend of hybrid/fairway wood and is sort of a combination 2 iron/hybrid or 7 wood in terms of distance for the average golfer.
The finish on the top of the club is a high quality black finish that looks terrific at address. The sole of the club has a unique rail design that provides relief when the head moves through the turf at impact. This lessens the chance that the club will bounce into the ground and then into the ball resulting in fat or thin shots. The club head is very playable. By this, I mean that you can open or close the face, as needed, when the ball is above or below your feet.
I especially like the fact that this club doesn't have that dramatically closed appearance at address that so many other hybrids have. I can actually work the ball with this club.
The first few shots that I hit with this club on uneven lies pleasantly surprised me at how solid they were. The ball just jumped off the club face! The head-cover for this club is a very nice, high quality head-cover that looks great and compliments my other clubs, nicely. For some strange reason, the Wilson 3 and 5 woods have a different (somewhat gray) shade of paint than the 19.5 degree Fybrid. However, they do have many of the same design qualities as the Fybrid. All in all, this club is my new best friend. If you shop for this club, you're going to be very pleasantly surprised at how affordable they are. When you play it, you're going to be happier. Welcome back, Wilson!
