Description
This set features consistent distance gapping that provides the player with better distance control from club to club by having the same loft gap between each club in the set--3.5 degrees. It also features a toe-friendly cavity that provides more forgiveness and accuracy on toe-hits by expanding the sweet spot towards the toe. Its lower profile and wider sole promote a higher, straighter ball flight, resulting in more distance and accuracy, while the urethane insert dampens unwanted vibration for better feel. Own this? Wilson DI9 Irons the hidden gems! |

It took me over 5 hours to finally decide on what set of irons I was going to purchase. After hours on the simulator and hitting over 150 shots with 7 different 6 and 7 irons, I could not believe the the DI9 set was what I left with. I kept telling myself NO WAY, Let me try the Burner 09 again, or the Mizunos, or the Titleist AP2, or the X22, or the Ping G15 (almost got those great irons) but not one of those irons compared to the value of the DI9. Very forgiving, very long, top of the line graphite shafts (UST V2), stronger lofts, and a sweet spot that extends out to the toe which is a huge benefit. most of us amateur players miss more out to the toe anyhow and my mis hits still went straighter and farther than any of the other irons I tried. the distance was equal to the Burners (close) as I was consitently 177-184 with the 6 iron DI9 and 178-187 with the Burners but the big difference was I was 12 yards longer (about 168-173) and straighter when I did miss a little towards the toe. Seriously for the money, and over all performance these DI9 surprised the heck out of me. I was skeptical going in, but in terms of irons, I believe these are the best for my game anyways. All in all I would highly recommend these irons for a player in my range (9 GHIN) or higher. I prefer a cavity back as opposed to a blade just for forgiveness. these irons also have a minimal offset compared to some others so there is still a workability factor if need be.

I like my new DI 9 Irons |

I am an older guy with a slower swing speed. I had been hitting Fat Shaft II irons for nearly ten years and decided it was time for an upgrade.Because I felt good about my old Wilsons, and because no one else plays them, I bought a set of the new DI 9 with graphite shafts. WOW...what a difference technology makes! Ball seems to come off the face much better, I am hitting longer and they are easier to control than my old sticks, which were pretty forgiving too. The only complaints I had involve grips and wedge lofts. I replaced grips with mid-size Golf Prices, and added a Cleveland 56 degree to the bag. A plus is that they also have a much better appearance and shape. I am very, very pleased and would recommend to others without hesitation.

Wilson Di9 |

Have been playing Nicklaus VCG irons for the past 10 to 12 years and felt it was time to get something new. The Wilson Di9 irons have proven to be just what I needed. My swing speed has decreased considerably the last few years but with the Uniflex graphite shafts I've found that most of my shots are traveling a bit farther. These clubs make it so much easier to get good loft on the ball that it's amazing. Grips are a little hard but there's no need to change until they wear out. Lofts are a little bit different but nothing you can't learn to live with. Clubs also have a great appearence.
